According to a statement made by Adobe, there are no plans to provide updates to ensure current versions of Adobe software is compatible with Windows Vista. Most of Adobe’s current products won’t work properly when run on a PC sporting Vista. In Design users report false disk space error messages, Dreamveaver 8 is known to crash on some Vista PCs when browsing for files, and Photoshop CS2 requires the registration details to be entered every time it’s started on a Vista box.
The new versions of Adobe’s products, due to be available this spring, will be 100% compatible with Vista. Users will ultimately have to choose between upgrading to the new Adobe products after they’re released, or running their PC with Windows XP, if they want Adobe products to work properly.
