Taiwan Photoblogs
Craig May 9th, 2007
Living as I do in Taiwan, I spend some time looking at various photoblogs from other photographers that live in Taiwan. Partly for ideas, partly for inspiration, partly for information and partly because there are a lot of great photographers living here. So I thought that it’s time for a post and a few links showing some of these blogs.
First up is The View From Taiwan. Not a photoblog as such, it’s actually a commentary on various things relating to Taiwan, but Michael Turton is an active photographer and he regularly posts a lot of great images, both mixed in with the commentary, and as entertaining travel type features.
In a similar vein is David Reid’s David on Formosa. Again, not exactly a photoblog, but it often features some great photos and travel locations in Taiwan.
Andres Yu has dre:photoblog which features regularly updated images covering a wide range of subjects.
35togo is another great photoblog, but it hasn’t been updated in a while. Hopefully he’ll start posting there again but in the meantime there’s a lot of good photography in the archives.
Amateur Commune is Izzy’s blog with hundreds of excellent images. It’s very easy to spend a lot of time looking at the photos here.
Taipei Terminus is a relatively new blog that I’ve only recently discovered. The images here exhibit some very interesting subjects in a variety of different tones and grain effects.
Well, that’s enough links for today to give you a glimpse at Taiwan through the lenses of others. I’ll post a second part to this in the future with some more good Taiwan photoblog links.
