Chinese Taipei’s national football team met Taipei City FC, an all-star team comprising the top foreign players from the various Taipei teams, at Zhongshan Soccer Stadium.
the first picture is mind blowing. feels like the action will jump out of the page next moment followed by huge thud that will send the ball flying across right.AWESOME
Great pictures. Few spectators! Guess Taiwan soccer still has a way to go before making the “big time”.
What lens and shutter speed are you using? They are remarkably crisp images for evening actions shots.
Pic 3 was at 17mm f5.6 1/160 and taken by my assistant Selina.
The rest were f4 around 1/250 (and a stop of so either side) at varying focal lengths from 70mm up to 200mm.
All shots were ISO 1600 on a Canon 40D (me) and 20D (Selina).
There were almost no spectators at all. I would have liked to have walked around the sidelines a bit more, but an injured knee meant I mostly stayed in one place, sitting on the grass at the edge of the field.

Glad you like it.

Not as fast or wide an aperture as I would have guessed.
Very crisp and clear.
Hope the knee gets better.
Sorry to hear you injured your knee! I guess that’s why YOU weren’t playing!…
Kenneth

Well, one of the photos was taken by you.
