Taiwan University Games
Sunday, May 11, 2008 8:53The National Intercollegiate Athletics Games (NIAG) are Taiwan’s university games. Beginning on May 9th and running until the 13th, over 12 000 athletes representing 169 universities and colleges in Taiwan will be competing. As the biggest sporting event in Taiwan prior to the Beijing Olympics, these games will feature members of the Chinese Taipei Olympic team. Here’s a few images shot yesterday at the swimming. I’ll have more throughout the week from other sports.

Hi Craig,
Terrific post. I especially like #’s 5, 6 and 9. Plus, the new site looks great. If anything positive has come out of your ordeal, it has to be a fantastic new look for your amazing photography! I’m really sorry to hear it happened though.

Hi Craig,
G’Day from Canberra. I am originally from Taiwan. Migrated to Australia to get my sports photography business happening.
It’s interesting that whilst you are taking action photos for the Taiwanese Olympians, I have been taking the Aussie Olympics team whenever they are in action in Canberra. Libby Trickett, Grant Hackett, Eamon Sullivan, and the women basketball team (the Opals) and others.
Love your photos.
Cheers,
Eric

Eric,
Thanks for stopping by. It is interesting that we seem to have done a “country swap”. The guys you’ve been shooting probably have a better chance of getting medals that the ones I’ve been shooting.
