Five For Friday – Taroko Gorge

This weeks 5 comes from the crown jewel of Taiwan – Taroko Gorge. Considered by many to be the most beautiful area in Taiwan, the 19km long canyon and surrounding national park is an important tourist destination. Here are five pictures from a recent visit to the park.

    this is a good 5 for, Craig. it's been awhile since i've been to the Gorge, so thanks for the reminder of how awesome it is.

    Glad you like it. I was actually a little disappointed with Taroko Gorge – it wouldn't be in my top 10 places in Taiwan.

    I like this contrasty processing. you are not the first person to tell me (write) that the gorge is overrated as a destination. Let's NOT go there when I come to TW.

    It's probably a great sight to see if you've never seen anything like it before. I've spent quite a bit of time in the Himalayas and Tibetan plateau, so everything kind of pails in comparison.
