Five For Friday - Foguangshan and BLIA | Taiwan Travel Photographers

Of the many different religious organizations in Taiwan, one of the biggest and most well respected is Foguangshan and the Buddha’s Light International Association. Quick to respond with aid in the wake of the devastating typhoon Morakot, Foguangshan and BLIA are both known for their work in the social, medical and educational fields, with free clinics, educational programs, environmental projects and other charity work. I blogged in detail about them in early 2008 and for 5 this week, I bring you a few more images from the headquarters and main monastery.
