Endangered Cultures – Phil Borges

A Tibetan looks back.

For well over two decades, photographer Phil Borges has been documenting indigenous and tribal cultures around the world. He founded the non-profit Bridges To Understanding, was a co-founder of Blue Earth Alliance, has hosted documentary programs for the likes of National Geographic and Discovery, has published a number of books, has work exhibited in a variety of permanent collections and solo exhibits and more. Below you can view his TED talk on Endangered Cultures. After watching, leave your thoughts in the comments below.

In this video, Phil talks a bit about how he got started in photography, discussing his first camera, his first steps into the commercial world and his movement into documentary travel and culture, the transition to multimedia and his general approach to storytelling.
