Fellow Taiwan photographer Rich Matheson recently pinged me in the seven links blogging project. In essence it requires a blogger to mine their blogging archives and give a bit of new life to some old content in a variety of different categories. Not a bad idea but not as easy as it sounds. This post marks by 909th blog post and trying to search through all the previous hundreds of posts is time-consuming to say the least. So for my contribution to the seven links project, I’m going to change the rules and post seven photo slideshows, each of which fit the category and already appear on my website. So without further ado, here they are.
1. Most Beautiful – I guess that’d be my portfolio highlights, especially as the choices of photos to be included were done via crowdsourcing.
2. Most Popular – Without a doubt some of Taiwan’s UFO pod villages.
3. Most Controversial – This is a tough one so I guess I’ll have to go with something political. This is from an anti-China protest held in 2010. Most people in Taiwan are cautiously happy to see improving relations with the mainland but there are still a few protesting against closer ties.
4. Most Helpful – This is best covered with a large gallery I put together for the Jane Goodall Institute last year. It contains a lot more photographs than a usual gallery, with quite a few similars in order to give the institute the widest possible coverage.
5. One That’s Success Surprised – The first of my Taiwanese opera galleries fits the bill best here.
6. One That Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved – I have a feeling that my tattoo gallery works here. Those who saw it gave good feedback but it felt like it kind of got passed over.
7. One You’re Most Proud Of – Easily my shoot on the Rainbow Warrior for Greenpeace. Not only was it a great shoot, I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of going onboard the Rainbow Warrior.
