After a lunchtime meeting of the Tainan Flickr group, I headed out to the beach with Lance to get some shots around sunset. As the sun was on its way down, it looked like it was going to be a long, amazing sunset but it proceeded to get lost behind some big, thick clouds and faded out to nothing.

Yahoo Photos, currently the largest photo sharing site on the internet, is going to be shut down in favor of Flickr, which Yahoo acquired in 2005.
For users of Yahoo Photos, migrating to Flickr will be a one-click process, however Yahoo are not forcing users to move to Flickr only. Instead, they’ll be giving users the option of Flickr, along with a number of other non-Yahoo owned photo sharing sites, such as Photobucket, Shutterfly or Snapfish.
Yahoo Photos hosts about 2 billion photos, whereas Flickr hosts 500 million. Despite this, Flickr has been growing at a much faster rate, with traffic now exceeding that for Yahoo Photos.
