Announced during Photokina last year, the Phottix Mitros had its official release this past week at WPPI in Las Vegas. The first flash from Phottix, it offers ETTL, high-speed sync, rear curtain sync, an optical slave and is compatible with Canon’s IR system. At this stage only Canon versions are available, with Nikon compatible units expected in May 2013 and Sony coming in Q3.
Before I jump in and talk about it, let me give you a quick reminder about Photography Projects For a Rainy Weekend, my just-released series of video tutorials. You can have a 20% discount on it if you use the code mitros. Be quick as there are a limited number available at that price.
