Taipei Photo Tours

Taipei cityscape as viewed from Elephant Mountain

Taipei Photo Tours offer you an opportunity for you to get to know some of the photography hotspots and secrets in Taipei. Customized to your needs, Taipei Photo Tours offer a range of different options covering a variety of photographic subjects. Whether your interest is traditional culture, scenic viewpoints, markets, nature, monuments, temples or city life, we have you covered.

Just as every photographer has unique interests, every photo tour is uniquely created. Let us know what you or your group want, and we will craft a tour to suit. Do you need instruction in photo techniques? Looking for a bustling local market? How about a half-day hike through a national park or some kind of cultural performance? Want to work in a studio with a model?

A Sampling Of Tour Options

Monuments

The monuments tour covers some of Taipei’s leading tourist attractions, as well as some lesser known sites. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, Rainbow Bridge are just some of the possibilities.

Temples

Taipei is blessed with a multitude of temples. These are often busy, colorful and full of great photographs just waiting to be made. Some of the biggest and most important are the Longshan Temple, Bao-an Temple, Confucius Temple, Xingtian Temple and Guandu Mazu Temple.

Nature

Taipei has a national park within its bounds, and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Yangmingshan National Park offers hot springs, waterfalls, great views and stunning hiking. Guandu Nature Park alongside the Danshui River is a sanctuary for many kinds of water birds, and Fuyang Ecological Park is a hidden gem – a jungle in the middle of the city.

Markets

Taipei has an abundance of markets. Possible options here include traditional local markets, wholesale fish, meat and produce markets, Chinese medicine and dry goods, wholesale clothing, fabric, flower markets, jade market and night markets.

Nightlife

Taipei is a city that never sleeps and offers a wealth of nighttime photographic possibilities. The hip areas of Ximending, numerous bars and live music venues that have open camera policies and the shopping district of Xinyi are all options.

The above options are just a sampling of what is available. Let us know what you want to photograph and we can craft a tour to suit. We can arrange your phototour to be as short or as long as you want.

Half-day Tour

A half day tour allows you to either take things slower, or cover more locations. The half-day tour offers the option of instruction as well. Learn how to create a photo essay, shoot to a theme or master the manual modes of your camera.

Costs : 1-2 people NT$10000 / US$310 (total). 3+ people NT$4500 / US$140 per person. Instruction (optional) add NT$2000/US$60 per person.

The full day tour offers an even greater range of shooting choices than the half-day tour. We will take a break during the hottest part of the day but continue into the early evening. During the break, there’ll be an opportunity to review the mornings work, have a critique session, visit a photo exhibition or just take a rest.

Costs : 1-2 people NT$18000 / US$560 (total) 3+ people NT$6000 / US$190 per person. Instruction (optional) add NT$3200 / US$100 per person.
